For now, penguinbaits kde is best choise, it is fast and easy to install.
I have tried PB:s KDE and KDE 4.1.3 on maemo, almost every maemo app can be used in both kde:s, nokias browser is stupid, it works only with matchbox window manager, se you need to do some tricks to make it work. I also have tried KDE 4.1 using debian chroot, (easy debian) it was soo cool when i first got it working. Afterwards i feel it was slow and buggy. BTW forget about kde 4 if you really want to use kde as your primary desktop environment. For working KDE, penguinbaits kde is the best for now.
First you have to clone your ITOS (internet tablet os) to minimum 2gb sd card.

how to do it easily.
