liqbase includes an interface to adjust the cpu settings between powersave, ondemand (the default) and performance.

At present no-one has created a default desktop UI for setting these ( advanced backlight would be perfect ).

In performance mode the cpu does not waste time increasing speed and so gives a more snappy response to all round system usage.

Of course, this may effect the battery and of course does not cure all ills, but I live in performance mode all the time and like the difference it makes.

as for stability, I don't have issues, if you have something specific maybe people will help.
