First off, forgive me for posting this as a new thread, because after reading all the postings related to N800 and Irreco, I have not found one thread that has clearly defined what needs to be done to have the N800 operate as a universal Remote.

My understanding of this topic is that with an IR Blaster or an IR transceiver connected to the Tablet through the USB, I can learn the remote codes for a device like a TV/DVD Player/AV Receiver through Irreco I can use the N800 as a universal remote.

Or is my understanding wrong here, as thread also mention the use of Lirc and WinLirc that needs to be setup to achieve this functionality.

So for the benefit of newbies like my self can some body please explain what needs to be done to make this --> N800 as UNIVERSAL REMOTE happen.
