OFDM is a modulation scheme (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) and is used in WiFi (802.11a/g) as well as other transmission schemes and has nothing to do with security. Whether they operate in licensed or unlicensed bands has nothing to do with security either. If the signal is there someone can scan it and intercept packets.
