I spoke too soon - there's something else - after it fades to white and after a while, a faint blue line appears in the middle of the screen and seems like it is moving very slowly to the left. Then right before the device shuts down the blue line disappears... The line looks like the Nokia logo is compressed to one pixel row with a noise effect
