I am maintaining the packages of gdata python bindings in the maemo.org extras repository, whenever I upload a new version to the repository (as today I uploaded the new 1.2.3 version to extras-devel), I wonder if it could break some of the programs that are using this library.

This way I think we using this library should have some place to comment when Google release a new version, when it will be uploaded to the repository, and what problems can be with the updates and this way to be more coordinated.

We could open a mailing list in the garage project (https://garage.maemo.org/projects/python-gdata/), a thread here in ITT, or have some another way of communication about this topic.

I am going to send a private msg with this thread to Khertan (mcalendar and others gems), Lorelei (erminig) and iancumihai (mytube), but sure there are more developers using the gdata bindings, so I would like everyone comment in this thread what he/she thinks.
