You need to have installed gps-clockd from http://nitapps.com/. Nothing goes into the gps-clockd.log until you start the GPS in an application. There is no passsword, just try hitting "Return". I installed "sudser" to get sudo and it never asks for the password. It does sound like you have a strange problem that I've not seen. You can reflash your system to go back to factory configuration. http://tabletschool.blogspot.com/200...-firmware.html will tell you how that's done.
