The python-runtime (expanded to include most packages like dbus, gnome, bluez, and the plugins) should be installed either by default, or should be the single dependency. The problem is some components are recent developments (desktop and applet integration as an example), and some packages say "python-XYZ" instead of "python2.5-XYZ", which might be correct for a desktop or somewhere else. Are there any bugs I should vote for to clean up the python package diaspora?
