Nokia N810, with lastest Diablo + updates and other packages.
The problem he had was specific to the N800s, and to old OS versions. You have neither. Which is really quite bad news, because while the non-booting glitch for N800s was fairly widespread, it was also 100% curable.
With your problem, alas, it could be anything.
How long have you left it on the charger? It looks like
maybe
the battery just drained (maybe it got turned on in your pocket or something) far enough that it can't even boot, but keeps trying (every 10 or 15); if so, leaving it on the charger for a few hours, even though it doesn't show anything, might bring it back out.
As for hardware damage from the slider, I don't know, but it's possible. And if so, it might even be only a loose cable. But I'd expect the system to boot; the obvious flexes between the slider shouldn't cause your symptoms, so I don't think that's likely. I'm really armchairing it here, though, as I don't even have an N810.
