Well, I like Mediabox very much and I use it very often, even at work.
I've never felt lost or mentally shocked by it, though it looks very different from what we've been used to seeing in terms of media players.

The only thing I would change is the music player.
I would split the "track info" view in 2 :
1 - the "browser" would remain as it is today
2 - "tracks" or whatever -> displays the tracks of the selected album
3 - "info" or "now playing"... -> info about the track being played

IMHO, it would provide enough room for track names to be read more easily. As images are better than words, you can check out the two-picture file I sent with this message.

Another thing :
I've just started to work on a plug-in, my very first time coding in Python, it will be available soon for testing.
