I tried your command as a regular user and it created a blank 1kb file. I even did it twice in two different locations just to make sure and got nothing but a blank file.
I did have chinook extras and diablo extras devel enabled earlier today. I disabled them ealier today after installing the chinook version of xournal. When I read your most recent post I opened canola up and did a scan for videos and this time it is showing all the videos. Not sure if this is a result of disabling those repos or not.
