Hi Azakko, I bought my N810 about a month ago. I knew that most of the "old" folks here was anxiously waiting for the N900 (whatever the name will be). At the end of the day the following features made me buy it: Price, GPS, Ebook-Reader and Wlan.
Price: I got mine for 250 EUR. The successor might start at 400 - 500 EUR. For me this is to much for a "lifestyle" product.
GPS: I want to be able to do some geocaching w/o spending to much on equipment and so on. The N810 offers good solutions (maemo mapper + gpxview) and I have no problems with the long (as complaint by others) fixing time.
Ebook: 4.3'' are quite acceptable and fbreader (txt and tons of other formats) and evince (pdf) are doing a very good job =b
Wlan: Nice to have the ability to easily connect to the world wide web.
Still, if you are planning to write documents based on MS office applications (.ppt, .doc) other devices might be more to your needs. But as I wrote in the beginning. I am still playing around with my tablet. Hopefully I will be able to install a dual-boot-system in the next days. So with OpenOffice running, the above mentioned issue might be fixed.
Yours,
icke
