FEBB, thanks for the clarification. Yes, its just lucky Nokia were wise enough to make the small pin power socket 5V, (and NO, dont try to charge into the usb socket).
I found 'no name' (and some named brands) usb wall chargers to be pretty unreliable on the actual AMPS rating. The only real way is to either test it with a multimeter, or just wire it up and see if you get the 'charging' icon on the N810.
Also a gotcha is if you use something like a 2-way usb hub/splitter, as they can drop the amps internally.
I threw away my Nokia charger, because while it could charge the N810, it didnt have enough amps to charge another device i had.
Of course you can buy the "Nokia Charger via USB port CA-100" , but this is cheaper.
