Well... yes and no. I believe the engine was more or less the same as in the Series 3xx, but the UI had been "beautified". Alas, IMHO not to its advantage. Then again, Data in the Series 3xx was optimized for keyboard use (amazingly optimized, even), so maybe I'm letting my extensive experience with the venerable 3a cloud my judgement of the 5mx.

Of course we do have sqllite but no simple gui for it that I'm aware of, and I'm sure an rdbms even a simple one like this is overkill for most users..
The thing is, many users will have sqllite installed anyway, as part of another program, so this migt probably the way to go. It's not because the engine is relational, that you cannot build a nice and simple flatfile frontend.
