Guys, Maemo-Mapper is not the only mapping software for the tablets. Yes, its the best, but it has many shorts.

For example, like I said, you can use Navit

Vector Maps: You can download the whole US of A, and still have space (on a big memory card ).

Routing Engine: Yes, you can find directions offline!

Text-to-speach: I think using flite???


So, there are options if you don't mind using openstreet instead of google.
