The linked thread gives the answer, but just to say that I'm with you on this one - the resizing of apps when typing on the default N810 settings is kinda annoying. For me, the perfect solution would be an indicator on the keyboard area itself to know what mode you are on - e.g. a set of lights above the keyboard, or maybe lights built into the keys itself, so that you know what mode you're in. Maybe something for the next model.
