Read the comments under the Engadget article. Two guys claim to work at O2 and said that "to use it you have to have it plugged into the mains" and it has "no internet browser".

They might just be mischief makers, but they were right about some other specs (e.g. 1GB internal memory), and the screenshots don't show any kind of web browser icon, so maybe the product is just a closed walled garden.
