My 770 has always worked perfectly with my Linksys WRT54GS.

For the OP - if this problem started at a particular time and nothing has changed on the 770 or your router, I'd have to say this sounds like an interference issue and someone else (a neighbour) is now drowning out your connection. Try changing channels as suggested.
