You can use the maps without paying a fee, so I wouldn't be too quick about deleting them. If you boot from an mmc card, like (I think) most of us do, you don't have to worry much about storage -- you have as much as you can use, unless you are crazy (i.e., want to watch a lot of movies on the small screen).
