I think that cover absorbs lot of vibrations, so N810 does not get lot of vibrations. I have padding to fill empty space behind the N810, that helps too with vibrations. In the other hand I have guite good shocks in my bike

Last summer I used N810 with original car mount in bike and motorcycle. I think that with original car mount kit N810 got a lot more vibrations, but my N810 is still working.
