I just released version 0.1 of Conboy. Conboy is a note taking application that can read and write Tomboy files. There is still a lot to do, but the basics are working. It would be very nice, if you could try it and post your comments here. Currently it's only compiled for Diablo, as this is the only SDK I have installed. Future versions will be build using the autobuilder and will hopefully also work on other versions of maemo.

What is working so far:

• Read Tomboy files as long as you don't use plug-ins for Tomboy. Bullet lists will be shown corrupted, but the files should stay ok.
• Make formattings like bold, italic, strike,...
• Auto-Save
• Insert links to other notes
• Zoom in and out using the hardware keys

Short list of the biggest TODOs:

• Support bullet lists
• Automatically insert links to existing notes while typing
• Search in current note
• Search in all notes
• Sort notes by modification date
• Undo/Redo
• Localization
• Synchronization with Tomboy
• Create icon
• And more
