I use it, though I'm not overly fond of it. Bookmarks aren't a main driver for backing up, really. I like to have my frequently used sites in the bookmarks menu on my tablet because it takes longer to type in URLs than it does on my desktop, but I could rebuild the list quickly if I had to.

Yes, but when many of my family and friends have six or eight IM accounts each, it's too hard to keep track of who is who without merging them together under meaningful names.

I hates re-figuring out which IM names match which people, and I hates the tedious process of merging them on the tablet.

Yes, tracking down the server settings for each of my email accounts and whatnot isn't horrible, but it's time I could better use doing something else.
