I'd caution against buying the N810 at this point. Especially if you're making comparisons against an iPod touch. The UI experience is brutal and slow.

Many of the people here are also offering overly optimistic accounts of the device's capabilities. I just finished selling mine because the N810 struggles a fair bit to accomplish most of what it sets out to do.

I'd hate to see someone go through the regret I did over the purchase. Go with the iPod, as much as I don't like Apple, they will at least acknowledge that they made it after the fact, and support it longer.
