Closing is done through the rightmost switcher menu that shows up when applications are loaded. You have 95% of Ubuntu at your disposal, sudo apt-get install <something> in x-terminal. Application Manager only shows things in user/ section (where we put stuff that is suited for Mer directly)

I tried to add repositories and don't know the adress. I couldn't close the dialog. He always ask me for the adress and there was no cancel-Button.
The "back" button, or Escape, works to close dialog boxes without cancel. This is a Fremantle artifact..
