I find I cant input the Euro-Symbol in the text input boxes here when I'm at home where I use GNU/Linux and Firefox 2. It works at the office, though. (WinXP with both IE6 and FF 1.5)
I noticed this only recently, but I don't know if it's because I upgraded to FF2 yesterday, because of the site changes or because I simply never used the Symbol here before
The only thing I see is that the document encoding is set to ISO-8859-1, a character set that simply doesn't contain the Euro Symbol. Maybe Firefox tries to be smart here.
I'd be interested if other users can confirm this or if it's only me.
