No apps started, launch Tear.

Load the URL above : almost 40 seconds till the progress indicator disappears, layout finishes jumping about and page becomes scrollable normally.

Same with microb : just over 6 seconds.

This can't be delusion, now, can it ? :-)

It happens on most every site I use, including mobile versions of things like Bloglines or forums which are very sparse, text-only pages with barely a couple of 1kb-gifs on them...

I really wonder how I succeeded in painting myself into that corner :-)
