I find that a lot more palatable as a response than The creation of a Unified Look means that there can't be non-conforming options even though they would be seen only by those people who consciously chose to use them. Are you saying it won't work even with a small amount of tweaking? Next, if compatibility is the only problem, we ought to be able to have a Minimalistic Theme that looks approximately like what it looks like now, but with greater functionality than it currently exhibits. But you've said you're going to go for orange-on-white, etc. So "impracticality" (due to vBulletin constraints) appears to be an excuse, or not important, or just plain irrelevant, if you're going to go with a color-scheme etc. that many people have been objecting to. So why don't you lay out the bottom line: Is it this notion that even the non-default options have to look like maemo.org?
