Hi All,

Yesterday, I tried connecting my N810 (OS2008) to my laptop (OpenSuSE 11.0) using the standard Nokia cable.I saw a USB sign on the screen, and it looked like all was going well. However, once it hit the main screen, the alert "Connection" wouldn't close, and nothing else would happen.

I've tried rebooting a few times, tethered or not, letting the battery drain, etc. My N810 keeps rebooting to the main screen, sometimes saying "connecting", sometimes not. Generally, the on-board clock doesn't progress - if I switch it on at 12:01, and leave it up for an hour or so, the time stays at 12:01.

Does anyone know what is causing this, and how I can solve the issue? I bought the model on Amazon (US) last summer, but am currently spending a few months in Abu Dhabi, and I don't think I have access to free Nokia service/repairs here.

Any thoughts?
