I haven't tried a) as such, but with my 770 I can have maemo mapper connected to a BT GPS with an Internet connection (GPRS) through the phone, so I'd say it should work.

b) works with a 770. I think the misunderstanding about BT+Wifi comes from the fact that you can only have one *NET* connection at a time -- either through Wifi or BT+cellphone.
