Meh, January 1st is a stupid day to start a year. It should start on the Winter Solstice instead.

On the other hand, the Holiday Season would be a whole lot shorter.

There should be a "12 Days of Midsummer," you know? The days from the solstice to the calendar midyear would be a non-stop party.
