Thanks a bunch for the suggestions guys!

I just want something that doesn't expect me to already know anything about Linux/Unix but also doesn't treat me as a *****

EDIT: I settled on, and ordered, these two books:

1) A Practical Guide To Linux Commands, Editors, And Shell Programming (2005), and

2) Linux for Dummies, 8th Edition.

We'll see
