From the article linked in the original post of the thread (bold emphasis from me):

There you go. Not just a GSM data device (like several other MIDs that have been announced in the last year or so). The fact that it clearly says that both cellular voice and VOIP will be supported indicates that they are directly stating that this device will have a voice capability that is not just VOIP based.

The device being discussed is a cell phone. The device in question has both cellular voice, and SMS. It's clearly a cell phone, in addition to everything else it's supposed to be.

Clearly you didn't read the first few days worth of the thread, because that was one of the main discussion points for the first week or so (that and the screen size; but the two are related, since "it's a cell phone" is the justification for the smaller screen size).
How 'bout you don't tell me what I did or didn't do... Howzat for clarity.

My post was prompted by your statement about the topic of this thread... OK, clearly you think you are the only one who is entitled to an opinion about this and if that is the case then clearly this thread should be closed because you have already addressed the subject.

qole, you may be right but as someone stated earlier in this thread (that is if I saw it clearly ), jumping this quickly into a phone running on Maemo may be be setting the OS up for failure.

... and I agree with UserID10T "supports" is a far cry from "provided" in ad speak.

BTW, the N800 "supported" video chat.
