If it is placed in a Micro to Mini adapter, yes.

1b-Can an SD card be partitioned?
Yes.

1c-Can all cache memory and temp files be directed to the card, as well as all programs and data, so that internal memory is protected/accessed less?
See: Booting from a Flash Card

1d-Can the sd card be automatically mounted and unmounted...
Under what conditions?

2-How durable is the N810?
Quite.

3-Is there an external battery charger?
There is not an official Nokia one; however, there are inexpensive, third party models available on eBay.

5-I know the N810 connects to a network wirelessly, but are there practical options for doing so via a wire?
See: USB to Ethernet Networking

4- Is there any wireless portable keyboard that works with N810?
Any Bluetooth HID keyboard will work. Bluetooth SPP keyboards can work, but not as easily.

I know the issue is drivers.
Bluetooth HID keyboards do not require drivers.

I heard a wired keyboard is possible, but I have not looked into that yet.
See: USB Host Mode

5a- Is it true that the new N900 coming up has a smaller screen than that of the N810?
While there's been no official announcement of a Maemo 5 device yet, it does appear that the next device will have a smaller screen.

5b-I read that the N900 will multitask, does that mean the N810 does not?
All Maemo devices multitask.

6-I have seen the videos showing people taping around on the N810. Is it possible to run the device exclusively with keyboard shortcuts?
No, though they keyboard and hardware keys may be used to access many functions of the device.

7-Can one copy and paste between programs, like on Windows?
Yes.
