Not "That's just wierd", instead "That's just N810". I'm sure my N800 would work fine with an external GPS, but the N810 *shakes head*... I can get a "GPS" fix, but only if I'm connected by wifi. I assume that's the magic of agps, "GPS" without futzing around with any of that satellite stuff ("satellites in view:11, satellites in use: 0").

I have a design for converting the N810 to an astrolabe using a protractor, chewing gum, piece of string and a handful of used McDonalds shake straws. The N810's clock really comes in handy, much faster location fixes than using the "GPS"
