I have a couple of friends in the US, so I can try them.
I guess it is more disappointing that the whole Asia-Pacific region is not even being considered. Nokia's response was that the N800 required testing with the networks here in Australia (I assumed the Nokia guy meant mobile/cellular). Seeing as there is no cellular component in the N800, I can't see how this is a problem. Gee, you would think they had enough time for testing when the 770 came out!
My other concern is warranty. I'm half a world away if something goes wrong, and there is a good chance Nokia might void the warranty if they find out where it is coming from.
