have read some threads on this forum. It is said that when the DSP is activated, the CPU must be scaled down to 330MHz. But I remember seeing somewhere that only N800 has this issue. Is N810 the same?
Yes this is true for both machines (they are pretty much identical under the skin after all) and it's not the cause of your problem as it's done by the kernel automatically.

Anyway, can we make the dspmp3 codec work?
First of all try rebooting, the DSP/DSP loader can get itself confused sometimes. The next thing to look at is where/how that failure can occur. It may be that the DSP task is unable to decode the particular mp3 files you're trying. Do you have a vanilla mp3 to test with (i.e. low bitrate, not vbr, etc.)?
