Why? Any standard desktop environment (let's say, kde but even lxde) is way better.
I'm growing tired of the "only one visible windows, no menu bar" of matchbox/maemo, even on the tablet, on a screen this size it would be unbearable for me.
Don't get me wrong, mer is very good considered the limitations of the tablet, but I don't see why you should straitjacket yourself into it where there are no such limitations.
