Sure thing!

1) Download these two applications on the N810:

x11vnc from: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/x11vnc/
openssh-server from: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/O...penssh-server/

2) Download this to your PC:
PuTTy from: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

3) To now access your N810 from your PC make sure that it's connected to the internet. Then go into your Connections Manager on the N810 and write down what the IP address is.

4) Now launch the PuTTy program on your PC.
First field is asking for the IP address. Fill that in and click 'Open' or something and.... you should now have a black window with a N810 prompt asking for your userid. You have...connected :-)

(If you're like me you may not even have a user account created on the N810..so..what I did was run the useradd command and created one when I was logged in as root). (I downloaded the rootsh (sp?) app and after that's installed I, on the N810, just issued the command root. Then I 'useradd [name]' and set the password (can't remember the exact command...maybe 'pw [name] [password] )

Now I'm excited to try moving files from the PC to the N810..but for now..I got a Maemo environment accessible from my PC in full-screen. GREAT for my 'Linux for Dummies' book exercises

Things I learned today: ls, ls -l, ls -F, rm and touch
