Okay, I installed rootsh, as a "just in case" thing several days ago.
I also have Leafpad, on the recommendation over "notes"
Substituting "leafpad" for "vi"
........

SUCCESS!

Now, I want to make a copy of the file first so I don't utterly screw it up. I'm making it onto my memory card.
Now to begin editing...

Changed short and double actions back to defaults.
(Menu and disabled, respectively)
Save.
Exit Leafpad.
Exit Terminal.

Press power button once.
NOTHING.
Double press.
Menu.


What did I do wrong?
