silvermountain, VNC is just for controlling the another PC. For video/audio steaming straight to the device using an HTTP/MMS protocol, it's quite easy.
On your PC:
Open VLC.
Click
Media
and choose
Streaming...
or
Open Capture Device...
for TV Tuners, Webcams and the such.
For
Streaming...
, choose a file, a DVD disc or even the capture device and it'll take you to a screen showing options to choose from. For audio streaming, best to use the default profile of
MP3
since it's the best for streaming. For video, the best seems to be wither
WMV
, but you can pick and choose like I did. I got some good and some bad results.
Anyway, hope that helps.
Jesse~
