Removing the bezel and cleaning with compressed air is probably the best option.

If you want to prevent this, you should use a proper case, a better one than the ludicrous soft push that came in the box.

You should also check that the case is clean inside, and closed ennough to prevent dirt to get inside.

And finally, you should not use your unit in very dirty environments.
