Eight seconds times 2 ?? Way too long, Yes delays are normal but not soooo long. When I use a webcam with MSN time lag is at most 1-2 seconds or less. I do not consider 16 secs delay as live streaming.
That is why I prefer such apps without an intervening server, but AFAIK these are not for phones yet.
