munky261: Are you sure you don't have a separate copy somewhere on your system?

Another possibility is having multiple copies of the same library with different ones being loaded.

You are running Diablo?

Anyway, running in gdb, then getting the output of "trace" after the SEGV might still provide useful info.

Also check that theere is free space on the device.
