It's looking more probable by the day that the Samsung Mondi might take the place of my Nokia N810. This is my first time posting here so I should give a brief history of my usages before hand. I use a Nokia N810, Treo 800w, and a 2nd generation Ipod touch. The Treo is my main phone, the ipod touch is really fun device to have for games and itunes synchronization, and the N810 is my online life device. I find much of the software in the N810 very useful and fun. What can I say about the N810 that hasn't been said before, the device is truly a pocketable computer that would let you do "almost" anything you could think of. The almost comes from two points: hardware and software.
The hardware needs a faster processor to cope and beat the competition. If Nokia is serious about their top of the line devices, calling them pocket computers, then they should go back on being the innovators that they were with the release of the Nokia 770. I don't need a Pentium 1.0 ghz processor but something that would allow us to use the internet as it stands now. Streaming video, radio, and fast multi-tasking are a must for some people. I want to be able to open pandora in the background and read my email, and play some games.
I find that support for microsoft's "evil" office, video skype integration, and the MIFI trick a must for me. i had tried open office, abiword, and excel programs and it doesn't quiet cut it. The camera doesn't support skype, despite all the pleadings that people have made to Nokia. and I seem to be carrying my laptop more than before, so a MIFI would be a really good solution.

This is sad because I'm very happy with my Nokia N810 the limitation are becoming quiet obvious. Anyhow if anyone is interested they should read the review of PCMag about the Mondi http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2350887,00.asp and the one that should be post on pocketables soon. I think the N810 is a great design with really good support by developers (not including nokia here) yet it needs to evolve fast. I don't know what is wrong with Nokia but if they are serious about transforming pocketable devices into computers, they need to play catch up now!!!! Depending on further reviews I would decide to wait for the next Nokia device or jump to the Samsung Mondi.
