You have rootsh installed ?

Start X Terminal.
Type "sudo gainroot", hit return.
Type "emelfm2" hit return.

emelfm2 starts up.

After closing it you are back in xterm, hit Ctrl-D twice, one takes you out of root, the second closes xterm.

Google for linux mv (move command) and linux cp (copy command),
and any amount of inatructions turn up.

EDIT: close race, second again.
