Ah, of course... I'd be curious to hear what arguments they have for not allowing IMAP while leaving MAPI access open to the whole wide Internet :-|


evolution supports mapi at the moment, it's not pretty at this time - but it works well enough to struggle with.

In Fremantle modest will support account protocol plugins, so I suppose a libmapi one would be possible. I don't know if anyone will consider it worth the effort if modest (being a Hildon application) is going to be replaced with something else in Harmattan.
