Well, the answer would be one of

1) There will be one version of Gizmo in the future for both devices. It is only for marketing purposes that they now offer a "N800"-version because everybody talks about N800. Don't worry.
2) They will continue to develop separate versions for each of the 2 devices. It is not safe, in the long run, to use the wrong version.
