I've registered a few weeks ago in order to get some help with Tear and broken registries. I purchased my n810 from Ebay in January '09. I'm late making this post!

I'm in the field of education: in the classroom for eight years and on to other things for the last three and counting. I use the n810 to make presentations (Bluemaemo); take notes at meetings, convert and fill out forms and gather signatures, doodle, etc. etc. (Xournal); complete online reports, conduct on-the-spot research, check Microsoft Exchange calendar, email, contacts (Tear, other browsers); edit and create documents (abiWord, OpenOffice 3 w/ easy debian); impress coworkers, and much, much more.

Outside of work I play music and movies (Canola); surf the internet (above-mentioned browsers); view and edit bluetooth-synced video and pictures taken by my smartphone (File manager, Gimp); browse youtube videos (@scene); let my five-year-old with mild autism have tons of fun (Theremin, Boxar - he loves to make and listen to music - and too many games to mention that we both enjoy).

I have no problems at all with the iPhone - I actually think it's an amazing device. I just feel that I have more freedom and opportunities to tweak and fiddle a little bit with the n810 and my windows mobile 6.1 smartphone working together (did I mention Maemo PAN? PAN and DUN make me feel invincible! Who needs WiMAX?!?!!).

Speaking of tweak and fiddle, I would not have the ability or confidence for either without this forum and its members. Your support enables thousands of us novices get the most out of our devices.
