That I absolutely agree with.

While I would prefer a convertible tablet netbook, or even just a 10" tablet, over a conventional netbook ... that aside, that hardware for this thing AMAZING looking.

It's beautiful, it looks solid, and it has HDMI. And who can argue with 12 hours of battery life (if it lives up to that). All of that on a NETBOOK. Hopefully, if nothing else, this will raise the bar for other mid-range devices. From now on, every netbook/UMPC/mid-range device will have to answer to not having full-day battery life.

(and, it would be funny if that causes panic at Apple, if their 10" device wasn't intended to have 12 hours of battery life -- 1.25 months before they're expected to finally announce their mid-range devices, and they just had their thunder stolen)

But, I don't buy devices for hardware alone. The software on this is a complete show stopper for me.
