jdk410, I am not far ahead of you in experience but I do know that you will need to install a VNC server on the machine you want to control from your N800. There are many VNC Servers out there. We use UltraVNC ( http://www.uvnc.com/ ), the people that made that decision are very knowledgeable, so I imagine it is a good choice.
